For hazardous-area equipment the technical evidence underneath that paperwork is an IECEx Certificate of Conformity, and because this is a phone it also needs CITRA type approval for the radio. None of the three is finished.
Getting through the plant gate is a separate exercise. KOC and KNPC each run vendor registration and tender prequalification with their own technical and telecoms review, and a foreign manufacturer is normally expected to bid through a registered Kuwaiti agent. The Kuwait Fire Force licenses fire safety at the facility and the Environment Public Authority holds the environmental permits, but neither of them approves a handset. Plan for two timelines: the national conformity route, and the operator engineering approval that actually decides whether the device is carried into the area.

You receive the full specification and a written list of the certifications in progress with target dates. An HSE officer can start an equipment selection justification from it and procurement can open a vendor file.
Evaluation units will be offered to Kuwaiti operators and contractors for handling and enterprise-management trials in safe areas, moving to classified-area pilots once the certificate exists.
Government and operator tendering favours a locally registered supplier who can hold the KUCAS documentation and carry spares in Ahmadi. Evaluation quantities can be supplied directly while that channel is appointed.

We do not publish one. Until certification completes there is no list price and no quoted delivery, and a supplier who gives you a firm figure for an uncertified Ex device is telling you something they cannot support. Pre-launch pricing is available on request against a stated quantity and site.
They are different protection concepts, although the search terms are used interchangeably. Flameproof, written Ex d, contains an explosion inside a heavy enclosure. Intrinsic safety, written Ex ib, limits circuit energy so ignition cannot occur, and that is what a Zone 1 handset uses. The marking target here is II 2 G Ex ib IIC T4.

That decision belongs to the operator and follows the certificates rather than preceding them. The IECEx certificate is the evidence their engineering review is built on, and the vendor file is being prepared with a Kuwaiti partner.

Yes. Android 16 runs the interface in Arabic or English on the same handset and the user manual will be issued in both. Your own site applications keep whatever languages they already use.
A device holding an Ex certificate cannot be opened on site or repaired by a general phone workshop without invalidating it. The service route runs through SAMS and the Kuwaiti partner it is appointing, with spares pooled in Ahmadi.
