This policy explains which cookies and similar browser storage sams-mobile.com uses, why, and how you can control them. It should be read with our Privacy Policy. On your first visit you are asked for consent, and you can change your choice at any time with the cookie button in the bottom-left corner of every page or by opening your cookie preferences here.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device. Similar technologies, such as the browser’s session storage, hold small pieces of information for a single tab. Some are essential for a site to work; others measure how a site is used or how adverts perform and need your consent under UK data-protection and privacy rules.
What this site uses
| Name | Set by | Purpose | Lasts | Category |
|---|---|---|---|---|
sams_consent (cookie) | SAMS Mobile | Remembers your cookie choice. Contains no personal data. | 12 months | Necessary |
sams_lead_id (session storage) | SAMS Mobile | Holds the reference of an enquiry you have just sent until the thank-you page has counted it, then is removed. Set only when you submit a form. | Until the thank-you page loads, or the tab closes | Necessary |
_ga (cookie) | Google Analytics | Distinguishes visitors so use of the site can be measured in aggregate. | Up to 2 years | Analytics |
_ga_G-97PQ7W76PC (cookie) | Google Analytics | Keeps session state for our Analytics property. | Up to 2 years | Analytics |
sams_gclid, sams_utm (session storage) | SAMS Mobile | Keep the Google advert click identifier and campaign tags from the web address so they can be included with an enquiry you send from the same tab. | Until the tab closes | Advertising |
_gcl_au, _gcl_aw (cookies) | Google Ads | Measure which Google adverts lead to enquiries. Used only when we run Google Ads campaigns and you have accepted advertising cookies. | Up to 90 days | Advertising |
The Analytics and Advertising items above are set only if you accept the matching category. Fonts, images, the 3D viewer and all other site assets are served from sams-mobile.com itself, and the site does not embed videos, maps or social-media widgets that set their own cookies.
Categories
Necessary
Required for the site to work and always on. They store your cookie choice and let a submitted enquiry be counted correctly. They do not track you across other sites.
Functional
The cookie banner offers a functional category for features that remember preferences or embed outside content. At present the site does not set any functional cookies, so this switch has no effect today. If we add such features we will list them here first.
Analytics
Set only with your consent. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site (pages viewed, time on page, approximate location, device and browser) so we can improve it. Google acts as our processor for this data.
Advertising
Set only with your consent. Where we run Google Ads campaigns, conversion measurement shows us which adverts lead to enquiries, and the advert click identifier can be added to your enquiry so we can see which campaigns work. We do not sell your data.
Google Consent Mode
Our Google tags use Google Consent Mode. Until you choose, and if you decline, analytics and advertising storage is denied: Google tags do not set analytics or advertising cookies and may send only limited signals without cookies that Google uses for aggregated measurement and, where we advertise, conversion modelling. If you accept, the tags run in full. Google’s own explanation of its cookies is at policies.google.com/technologies/cookies.
Managing cookies
- Change or withdraw your choice at any time through your cookie preferences. Withdrawing consent stops further use of analytics and advertising cookies; to remove cookies already set, also clear them in your browser.
- Block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking the necessary cookie means we cannot remember your choice, so the banner will appear on each visit.
- Google offers a browser add-on that opts you out of Analytics on all sites: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Changes
We will update this page if the cookies we use change. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
