Explosion proof mobile phone for Czech pipelines, storage and steelworks
Crude arrives through MERO ČR's pipelines to Nelahozeves and the refineries; refined product moves through ČEPRO's network of about 1,100 km and its depots. Natural gas is stored underground in South Moravia, where Moravské naftové doly operates storage at Uhřice on ground it previously used for oil and gas production near Hodonín. Further east, in the Ostrava and Třinec area, the coke ovens carry the coke oven gas hazard. In Ostrava, press reports say the primary steelmaking of Liberty Ostrava has been idle and the plant changed hands in October 2025 under the Nová Huť name, while OKK Koksovny remains a separate coke producer; the status of any plant should be checked with the owner. Třinecké železárny operates a closed cycle from coke ovens to hot rolled steel. The sector covers crude vapour, refined fuel vapour, natural gas, hydrogen-rich coke oven gas and combustible dust from coal and coke.
