Refinery cluster
Replan alone accounts for about 20 per cent of Brazil's refining; Revap is 252,000, RPBC 170,000 and Recap 53,000 barrels a day.
Sao Paulo is Brazil's largest city and an industrial state. The city itself is not a refinery site, but the state hosts four Petrobras refineries: Replan at Paulinia (415,000 barrels a day), Revap, RPBC at Cubatao and Recap at Capuava. Distribution partners for Sao Paulo state are being identified ahead of the Q4 2026 launch of the IS-04Z1.

An intrinsically safe Android smartphone designed for Zone 1 and Zone 21 hazardous areas in São Paulo. It is pre-launch: IECEx, ATEX and NEC 500 certification is in progress ahead of the Q4 2026 launch.

Replan alone accounts for about 20 per cent of Brazil's refining; Revap is 252,000, RPBC 170,000 and Recap 53,000 barrels a day.
Sites are connected by an extensive road network, which helps delivery and service.
Replan serves the interior of Sao Paulo state (about 55 percent of its output) and parts of Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso do Sul, Rondonia, Acre and southern Minas Gerais.
The Port of Santos is 79 km from Sao Paulo city and is reached by the Anchieta and Imigrantes highways, which carry most import and export freight for the region.
Replan started operating in 1972 on about 9.1 km2, with capacity of 66,000 m3/d, and makes gasoline, diesel, LPG, aviation kerosene, asphalt, petrochemical naphtha and propane.
Guarulhos International Airport, also called Cumbica, is the largest airport in Brazil and Latin America, which makes it the main entry point for visiting engineers and air-freighted spares for São Paulo state.
IECEx is the international scheme for certifying equipment used in explosive atmospheres. A certificate of conformity is issued by an accredited certification body against a specific edition of the IEC 60079 standards and carries a schedule of conditions of safe use. It is not a legal requirement in most countries on its own, but many national schemes accept it as the technical basis.
The IECEx certificate for the IS-04Z1 is in progress and has not been issued. The marking target is Ex ib IIC T4, the intrinsic safety concept for Zone 1 gas with the hardest gas group (IIC) and a 135 °C temperature class.
In Sao Paulo state. The city is a business base for international engineering and distribution firms serving plants elsewhere in the state. For them IECEx, with a certificate of conformity and schedule of conditions, provides a familiar reference. The IS-04Z1 IECEx certification is in progress, not held.
Distribution of the IS-04Z1 is by authorised partners only, and SAMS has not yet granted a territory for Sao Paulo state. Each application is reviewed on its merits. Because opening a certified Ex handset in an ordinary workshop invalidates its certificate, the partner must be able to support and service the device locally.
Not yet. The IS-04Z1 is pre-launch and its certification is still in progress ahead of a Q4 2026 launch. No unit goes into a classified area before the certificate covering it exists. The datasheet, the certification schedule and safe-area evaluation units are available now.
No price is published. While certification is in progress there is no list price and no committed lead time, and a supplier quoting a firm figure for an uncertified Ex handset is promising something it cannot stand behind. Indicative pre-launch pricing is issued in writing against a stated quantity and site.
No. The IECEx certificate is in progress and has not been issued. SAMS will publish the number when it exists.
Likely candidates are refinery process units, tank farms, pipeline terminals, fuel storage and loading. Which areas are classified, and to what zone, is set by the site operator's own area classification drawings.
Apply through the distributor page with your company details and the territory you cover. SAMS reviews applications company by company and has not yet granted a territory for Sao Paulo state.
Because large corporations, banks and engineering contractors are based there, and Santos port is within 79 km. This does not replace site approvals, so confirm the operator's vendor registration process.
Not in the city centre but at refineries and petrochemical plants in the state, such as Replan at Paulinia, RPBC and Capuava, plus fuel terminals and pipelines. Confirm the site and its classification with the operator.
The city itself is not a refinery site. The state hosts four Petrobras refineries, Replan, Revap, RPBC and Recap, in other municipalities. Check which plant the handset will visit. Confirm documentation requirements with the site operator and its HSE team.
