At the Kalundborg factories, maintenance and construction are carried out by contractor crews working to the site’s permit system, often in short shutdown windows between production campaigns. Those crews are the people most likely to need a managed handset for a few weeks. At the biogas plants the pattern is the reverse: little shift work, a technician visiting on a route, and an operator who may have several plants of different ages and owners.
Danish equipment rules are those of the EU: ATEX for the product, and the employer’s duty to assess explosion risk and hold an explosion protection document under Arbejdstilsynet. We have no verified detail of any individual company’s supplier qualification here, so ask the operator’s procurement and HSE teams what they require, including whether they expect an Achilles JQS profile, and whether approval at one plant carries to the next.
