The circuits are designed to limit energy so a spark or hot surface cannot ignite a gas or dust atmosphere, even with one fault (level ib, Zone 1). Certification of that design is in progress.

Likely candidates are solvent storage and dispensing, granulation and coating rooms, active ingredient reactor areas, warehouse solvent stores. Which areas are classified, and to what zone, is set by the site operator's own area classification drawings.

India's Petroleum and Explosives Safety Organisation administers rules covering petroleum and flammable materials storage. Plants usually work with licensed storage and their own safety teams, so ask the operator which licences and equipment standards they require.

Solvent storage, reactor and dispensing rooms, and effluent areas can contain flammable vapours or powders. The plant defines classified zones in its drawings, so request them and confirm the approvals accepted before taking portable equipment into production areas.
