Dense road network
Sites are connected by an extensive road network, which helps delivery and service.
Sao Paulo is Brazil's largest city and an industrial state. Guarulhos International Airport, also called Cumbica, is the largest airport in Brazil and Latin America, which makes it the main entry point for visiting engineers and air-freighted spares for São Paulo state. An industrial smartphone distributor in Sao Paulo state would carry the IS-04Z1 to these buyers once certification completes.
Pre-launch · certification in progress · Launching Q4 2026
Short answer. Sao Paulo state has no appointed SAMS distributor yet: the IS-04Z1 is pre-launch (certification in progress, no certificate issued, launch planned for Q4 2026), and distributor applications are open.
Current position: certification in progress, nothing issued, launch targeted for Q4 2026. An operator's own vendor approval is a separate step. Certification status. Place facts reviewed October 2026.

An intrinsically safe Android smartphone designed for Zone 1 and Zone 21 hazardous areas in São Paulo. It is pre-launch: IECEx, ATEX and NEC 500 certification is in progress ahead of the Q4 2026 launch.
A short profile of the site and the kinds of classified area that matter for portable equipment.
Sites are connected by an extensive road network, which helps delivery and service.
Many industrial buyers and distributors keep offices in the city, while the plants are in other municipalities.
São Paulo has a humid subtropical climate, and heavy storms can bring more than 140 mm of rain in 24 hours, so outdoor and plant-yard work needs weather protection for portable equipment.
Replan serves the interior of Sao Paulo state (about 55 percent of its output) and parts of Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso do Sul, Rondonia, Acre and southern Minas Gerais.
The Port of Santos is 79 km from Sao Paulo city and is reached by the Anchieta and Imigrantes highways, which carry most import and export freight for the region.
Replan started operating in 1972 on about 9.1 km2, with capacity of 66,000 m3/d, and makes gasoline, diesel, LPG, aviation kerosene, asphalt, petrochemical naphtha and propane.
“Industrial” describes a phone built for plant conditions: sealed, drop-resistant and manageable at fleet scale through Android Enterprise. It does not by itself mean the phone may enter a classified area. Only a device with a valid explosion-protection certificate and marking may do that.
The IS-04Z1 is designed to be both an industrial Android phone (IP68, 4,000 mAh battery, 50 MP camera, Android 16 with EMM and MDM support) and an intrinsically safe one. Its explosion-protection certificates are in progress and have not been issued.
In Sao Paulo state. Many industrial buyers and distributors keep offices in the city while plants are in other municipalities, so a central EMM or MDM policy suits fleets that cover several sites. Charging is done in safe areas. Road links help deliveries and service between the city and the refineries.
A distributor for Sao Paulo state would carry the IS-04Z1 after certification completes; the Q4 2026 launch is the planning date and no appointment has been made. SAMS reviews applicants one by one and prefers companies with their own Ex-competent technical and service staff, since certified devices must not be repaired outside approved channels.
No. Nothing can be bought or taken into a classified area today: certification is in progress and launch is planned for Q4 2026. What is available now is the datasheet, the written certification schedule and evaluation units for safe-area use.
There is no list price yet. SAMS gives indicative pre-launch pricing in writing, against a stated quantity and site, and does not commit to a lead time before certification completes.
Yes by design: IP68 sealing, a 4,000 mAh battery, a 50 MP camera and Android 16 with EMM and MDM support. The explosion-protection certificates are separate and still in progress.
Likely candidates are refinery process units, tank farms, pipeline terminals, fuel storage and loading. Which areas are classified, and to what zone, is set by the site operator's own area classification drawings.
Apply through the distributor page with your company details and the territory you cover. SAMS reviews applications company by company and has not yet granted a territory for Sao Paulo state.
Because large corporations, banks and engineering contractors are based there, and Santos port is within 79 km. This does not replace site approvals, so confirm the operator's vendor registration process.
Not in the city centre but at refineries and petrochemical plants in the state, such as Replan at Paulinia, RPBC and Capuava, plus fuel terminals and pipelines. Confirm the site and its classification with the operator.
The city itself is not a refinery site. The state hosts four Petrobras refineries, Replan, Revap, RPBC and Recap, in other municipalities. Check which plant the handset will visit. Confirm documentation requirements with the site operator and its HSE team.
