Hazardous Area Smartphone Distributor in Ruwais Petrochemical

Ruwais, now officially Al Dhannah, lies 240 km west of Abu Dhabi city in the Western Region, so visiting teams face a long road transfer. The TA'ZIZ chemicals zone is being developed alongside them, adding new classified areas. A hazardous area smartphone distributor in Ruwais industrial complex would carry the IS-04Z1 to these buyers once certification completes.

The term · hazardous area

What “hazardous area” means for a smartphone

A hazardous area is a place where flammable gas, vapour or combustible dust may be present. Standards divide these into zones: Zones 0, 1 and 2 for gas and vapour, and Zones 20, 21 and 22 for dust. Zone 1 and Zone 21 are the tier where an explosive atmosphere is likely to occur in normal operation, which is where the IS-04Z1 is designed to work. Anything carried in must be marked for the zone, gas group and temperature class of the area.

No certificate has been issued for the IS-04Z1 yet, so it must not be taken into a classified area until the certificate covering it exists and the site operator has accepted it.

In Ruwais industrial complex. Ruwais has refinery process units, NGL fractionation, polyolefin plants, and marine jetties and fuel pipelines. The operators classify their own areas, and the TA'ZIZ zone adds new classified areas as it is developed. SAMS does not classify areas and relies on each operator's drawings.

Questions · Ruwais Petrochemical

Frequently asked questions

Can we buy a hazardous area smartphone in Ruwais Petrochemical today?

What does a hazardous area smartphone in Ruwais Petrochemical cost?

There is no list price yet. SAMS gives indicative pre-launch pricing in writing, against a stated quantity and site, and does not commit to a lead time before certification completes.

Which hazardous areas is the IS-04Z1 designed for?

Zone 1 and Zone 21 (gas and dust) with gas group IIC and temperature class T4, subject to certification. It must not be used in a classified area before its certificate is issued and the site has accepted it.

Which areas at Ruwais industrial complex would use it?

Likely candidates are refinery process units, ngl fractionation, polyolefin plants, marine jetties and fuel pipelines. Which areas are classified, and to what zone, is set by the site operator's own area classification drawings.

Do Ruwais plants include fertiliser and sulphur handling?

Yes. Besides the refinery, the complex has a fertiliser plant and a sulphur handling terminal. Fertiliser and sulphur can create dust and corrosive conditions as well as flammable gas hazards elsewhere on site, so check each plant's classification and equipment-group requirements.

Which operator's rules apply to a phone at Ruwais?

Ruwais hosts ADNOC, ADNOC Gas, Borouge and TA'ZIZ, and each runs its own supplier registration and equipment approval. The rules that apply depend on whose area you work in. Ask the relevant operator's procurement and HSE teams before bringing a device on site.
